Gustav Carl Werth, a retired farmer, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at his home of a heart attack. He was 74 years old. A former farmer, he had lived in the city at 920 S. Washington, for 28 years. His wife: three sons, Fred of Warner, Avin and Arthur of Aberdeen; and four daughters, Mrs. George Wilke of Columbia, Mrs. Clarence Lowe, Mrs. Clarence Larson of Aberdeen, and Mrs. Dan Young of Warner, survive.
Other surviving relatives include two brothers, Carl of Aberdeen and Albert of Warner, two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Wolter of Aberdeen, Mrs. Minnie Piper of Fargo, N.D. and 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was born in Germany march 15, 1868. He married mary Wolte Dec. 17, 1891. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary five months ago. He had settled in Brown county in 1882, but retired from the farm in 1914. He was a member of the First Evngelical church and of the A.O.U.W. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
