Paul F. Mutz, a resident of Hobson, passed away Monday, July 1, 2002, at the age of 89 years, 10 months, and 18 days.
He was born on Aug. 13, 1912, to Peter and Susie Moczygemba Mutz.
On Nov. 8, 1938, in Floresville, he married Susie Felux, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Mutz was a farmer and rancher who lived in Hobson since 1942. He was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hobson.
Preceded in death by: wife; parents; son, Peter F. Mutz; brothers Phillip Mutz , Sam Mutz, and Felix Mutz; sisters Victoria Richter and Tekla Moy.
Survivors include: sons, Johnny Mutz (Karen), Paul H. Mutz (Mary K.), and Frank F. Mutz (Kay); daughter, Dorothy Crouch (Thomas); sister, Lucy Pogue; 12 grand-children; and five great-grandchildren.
A rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, in the St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, in the St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Rev. Gregory Sawicki officiated the services.
Interment followed in the Hobson Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Warren Mutz, Christopher Mutz, Herman Mutz, Joshua Mutz, Nathan Crouch, and Kevin Kilcrease.
