"Arnaud Lopez, Sr., 68, US Deputy Probation Officer, native of Biloxi and for many years prominently identified in various interests in Biloxi, died Wednesday night while visiting his daughter in-law, Mrs. James Lopez, in Franklin, La. Mr. Lopez was in the seafood business in former years. He attended Biloxi schools and graduated from Mississippi A&M College, now Mississippi State College. His late father was a senior member of the Lopez-Dulion Packing Company and also was in the mercantile business in Biloxi many years ago. Mr. Lopez is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nellie Gorman Lopez; a son, Arnaud, Jr.; three sisters, Mrs Noreta Yerger Biloxi, Mrs. H. M. Folkes, Biloxi, and Mrs. Phillip Caldwell, Hawaii; a brother, Julius, Biloxi, and a grandson, James Lopez, Franklin, La. He was the son of the late Lazaro Lopez and Julia Dulion . The body will be brought to Biloxi where services will be held in the Church of the Nativity with burial in Biloxi Cemetery. Mr. Lopez left Biloxi 12 years ago and has been residing in Vicksburg."
