George Geyer, son of Mr. Charles Geyer, died at the home of his father, just west of town, Saturday morning last from appendicitis, after an illness of only two days. The deceased was born in Madison township, January 24th 1884, died March 10th 1900, thus at the time of his death he had reached the age of 16 years, 1 month and 16 days. The deceased was an exceptional boy, always kind and gentle and one that will be greatly missed in the home circle. The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the house and later from the Marquardt Lutheran Church west of town, the pastor Rev. A.Z. Fryberger officiating, after which the remains were interred in the graveyard near by.
