Early Resident of This Area Dies of Heart Attack Monday at 1:30
Another early resident of this community, Mrs. John Busch, 77, died about 1:30 Monday afternoon of heart attack. He had been ill only two weeks.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from St. Paul's Lutheran church in the city with the Rev. K.F. Toepel officiating. Burial was made in the Evergreens cemetery. Pallbearers were August Arndt, Erwin Detjen, Frank Lohrey, Frank Erdmann, August Wasserbach and Albert Crabb.
Mrs. Busch was born May 21, 1863 in Germany, and at the age of five years came to America with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Keuhlann, first living in Manitowoc and then Algoma. She married Mr. Busch at Algoma June 6, 1881. Her maiden name was Ida Kuehlmann. Mr. and Mrs. Busch lived in Brummerville on a farm until 1905, and then moved to Algoma, where they lived since. She was a member of the St.Paul's Ladies Aid. She and her husband passed their 59th wedding anniversary last June.
Surviving are her husband, nine children, Mrs. Gust (Leona) Raether, Appleton; Mrs. Louis (Hulda) Moeller, Green Bay; William, Milwaukee, Mrs. Jule (Lynda) Crabb, Pierce town; Walter, Algoma; Mrs. Louis (Clara) Leischow, Ahnapee town, John, Milwaukee, Roland, Milwaukee and Mrs. Charles (Norma) Fellows, Algoma, a sister, Mrs. William Nesemann, Algoma, a brother, John Kuehlmann, Sault Ste. Marie, Canada, 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
