Mr. Rooney married Nell Lindberg. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife; daughters, Mrs. Autry (Carol) Munn, Davenport, and Mrs. Harley (Pat) Fisher, Grand Mound, Iowa; sons, Michael Rooney, Lapaz, Indiana, Oscar Rooney with the U.S. Navy, Norfolk, Virginia, and Joseph Rooney with the U.S. Air Force at Lackland AFB Florida; stepdaughter Mrs. Sharon Harroun, Aledo, Illinois; stepson Richard Lindberg; and 17 grandchildren.
