She was born in Schmerlecke, Germany, and immigrated to America with her parents and three sisters on 22 Nov 1873 via the ship Deutschland out of Bremen. On 21 Aug 1883 she married Franz Schuler in St. Louis, MO, and had four children. He died in 1892 and she married Frederick Mintert in 1894 with whom she had four more children. She died of pneumonia in 1923.
