Funeral services for John J. Berger, 74, who was found dead Wednesday morning by police, will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Joseph William Taylor undertaking parlors. Physicians said he had died of causes unknown, but natural.
He had been a resident of Salt Lake for 25 years, having been engaged as a stationary engine attendant, but had retired and was living alone at the time of his death. He was born in Germany, February, 1856.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Martha Kuhmie of Denver, Colo., who arrived in Salt Lake Friday to arrange his funeral. He is also survived by his step-father, William B. Jones, of Salt lake.
interment will be in the city cemetery.
