Lydia Cole, 83, of North Baltimore died of Phnumonia at 6:50 a.m. Saturday (June 17, 1961) in Maumee Valley Hospital, Toledo. She had been in the hospital for two days. She was a native of Metamora.

She was born September 30, 1877, in Fulton County, Ohio, the daughter of Warren Welch and Annette (Wing) Welch. She married William Derwin Cole on Jan. 18, 1896, in Fulton County, Ohio.

Survivors include her husband William; three daughters, Mrs. J.R. (Ollie) McChesney of North Baltimore, Mrs. Fred (Ethel) Herringshaw of Rudolph and Mrs. Addie Mundy of Lincoln Park, Michigan; one son, Ray Deshler; two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Bird of Jasper, Michigan and Mrs. Augusta Collins of Adrian Michigan; 23 grandchildren; and 64 greatgrandchildren. A son, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

The funeral was held Tuesday at the Paden Funeral Home, North Baltimore, with Rev. Frank Rowe officiating. Burial will be in Wingston Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home.
