Margaret was the only child of Grace Augusta Schemansky.

Margaret grew up living in her Schemansky grandparent's home with her grandparents, her mother, and her Aunt Helen Schemansky.

Her mother married when she was around 12 years old and moved to New Jersey to live with her new husband, Joseph Arndt.

He legally adopted Margaret and changed her name to his.

Margaret remained with her grandmother after her mother's marriage.

Margaret married Evart Blaine Beck on May 16, 1916, at the Canton Court House in Canton, Ohio.

They were married by Judge Correll.

Margaret and Evart had nine chldren, four girls first and then five boys.

Margaret lived her entire life in Stark County, Ohio.

Margaret was a great homemaker and loved being a mother.

Margaret and Evart always had a huge garden and raised lots of vegetables.

When her children were home, Margaret would can as many as 1000 quarts of vegetables and fruits every year.

Margaret also loved flowers, and there were always lots of black-eyed-susans and peonies blooming during the summers.

She never sat down without something in her hands.

She was always embroidering pillow cases or crocheting fancy edges on handkerchiefs.

Margaret loved having her family around her.

There were always homemade cookies in the cookie jar for the grandchildren when they visited.

After Evart's death, Margaret often visited her children in their homes.

Margaret died in the Coronary Care Unit at Aultman Hospital from a heart attack.

She was loved by all.
