REV. JOSEPH J. KISSER Long-time Milford resident Rev. Joseph J. Kisser died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1982 in Seward Memorial Hospital at the age of 73.

Rev. Kisser had been ministering part-time at area Assembly of God Churches after having served his last pastorate in Bassett, Neb. He was a member of the Milford
Assembly of God Church.

He was born May 11, 1909 in Vida. Manitoba, Canada, to Julia K. and Nathalia Runke.

Survivors include his wife, Irene (Kirstman) Kisser, of Milford; a son. Rev Melvin Kisser of International Falls. Minn.; daughters Mrs. Jim (Verna) Wilkins of Grand Island. Mrs. Dale (Evelyn) Albin of Omaha. Mrs. Dale (Marjorie) Stahly of Milford, Mrs. Leland (Bernice) Geer of Glendive, Mont., and Mrs. Steve (Anna Belle) Groseclose, formerly of Milford, now living in South America.

Also surviving are brothers Fred of Loveland, Colo., Simeon of Port Coquitlam, Canada, Martin of Fargo, N.D., Emanuel of Van Nuys, Calif., Edward of Winnipeg, Canada, and David of Edmonton, Canada. Other survivors include sisters Mrs. Pauline Fengler of Winnipeg, Mrs. Henry (Alvina) Keehn of Kamploops, Canada, Mrs. Fred (Bertha) Keil of Winnipeg, Mrs. Rudy (Albertine) Miller of Kelowna, Canada, and 23 grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1982 at 10:30 a.m. at the Milford Assembly of God Church. Officiating were Rev. Melvin Kisser, Rev. James Wilkins, Rev. Leland Geer and Rev. M.F. Brandt.

Pallbearers were Dale Stahly, Dale Albin, Ted Sheet, Emanuel Kisser, Edward Kisser and Wilmer Kirstman.

Interment was in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Milford.

Hoggins-Moore Funeral Home of Milford was in charge of arrangements.
