West Liberty, Iowa – Benjamin Mullink, 16, West Liberty, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, at his home.
Carol Kaalberg will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty.
The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home, West Liberty, is in charge of arrangements. A memorial fund has been established.
He was born Feb. 7, 1990, in Iowa City, the son of Michael and Donna Newton Mullink.
He was a sophomore at West Liberty High School where he was active in football and baseball.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing X-Box, hanging around with friends, sitting in the hot tub, eating homemade chicken and noodles, driving the 4-wheeler at Grandpa and Grandma's and cheating at Monopoly with his cousins. He was employed at Thoma's Jack and Jill, West Liberty.
He always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes.
Survivors include his parents; a brother, Mick; grandparents, John and Fontelle Mullink of West Liberty and Bill and Rose Newton of Nichols; great-grandmother, Dorothy Beinke of West Liberty; aunts and uncles, Debbie and Chuck Rockwell of Panora, Deann and Kent Jehle of Iowa City, Tony and Maria Newton of West Liberty and Tony and Terri Mullink of West Branch; cousins, Christy, JJ and Kinze Laabs of Yale, Iowa, Justin "JT", Audra and Triston Rockwell of Winterset, Iowa, Amy and Wes Dorsam of Iowa City, Jennifer Jehle and KJ Smith of North Liberty and Jessica, Austin and Lake Newton of West Liberty.
