Graveside services for Rosemary Erck Glantz, 87, of Sheridan County will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Lee officiating. Arrangements are with Kane Funeral Home. Mrs. Glantz died Wednesday, May 3, 2006, in Sheridan Memorial Hospital. She was born and grew up in the Parkman area, where her parents, Louis and Rosa (Mattes) Erck, were ranchers. She was a lifelong resident of Sheridan County and a 1938 graduate of Sheridan High School. She worked as a registered nurse for Sheridan Memorial Hospital for more than 40 years, retiring in 1986. She married George Glantz on Dec. 24, 1941, in Hardin, Mont. They made their home in Sheridan. After retiring, she enjoyed travel, gardening and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband and seven siblings, Frank, Alice, Louis, Jimmy, Marguerite, Eleanor and Josephine. Survivors include three children, Richard and Rita Glantz and Robin Duncan, all of Sheridan; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
