OBIT: Elta L. Kuechler of Bartlett for 14 years ... "Funeral services for Elta L. Kuechler, 81, formerly of Elgin and Barrington for 17 years, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Elgin. The Rev. Thomas Niermann will officiate. Burial will be in Randhill Park Cemetery, Arlington Heights. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at Wait Ross Allanson Funeral & Cremation Services, 51 Center St., Elgin, and from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday, at the church. Born Sept. 21, 1923, in Chicago, the daughter of Edward and Amalia (nee Kruse) Zoellick, she passed away Friday, Oct. 29, 2004. Elta was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Elgin, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid, and formerly sang in the church choir and bell choir. Survivors include five children, Arlene Smith of Elgin, Sandra Kuechler of Bartlett, IL., Richard of Sedalia, Colo., Todd (Debra) Kuechler of South Elgin, and Linnea (Craig) Schwartz of McHenry; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a brother, Leonard (Shirley) Zoellick of Hillsboro. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reinhold "Mike" Kuechler in 1983; two sons, Thomas and Donald Kuechler; and a brother, Baron Zoellick. The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Wait-Ross-Allanson Funeral & Cremation Services in Elgin. The visitation will continue from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Elgin. The Rev. Thomas Niermann will officiate. Burial will be in Rand Hill Park Cemetery in Wheeling."
