Frank, a former supervisor of Warren Township, and connected with it's governmental affairs since 1900, died today at his home, 3030 18 Mile Rd. Sterling Twp. Still active as assessor at 79 as assessor of the Twp., he had been under medical treatment in recent weeks, but death, which took him in his sleep, was unexpected.

Mr Wiegand, member of a pioneer family whose farms covered the 13 Mile & Hoover area, was a lifelong Democrat. Frank first served the township as clerk, in 1900 & in 1932 was elected as supervisor. He remained in that office until 1936. During the depression years he was a member of the Board of Supervisors of Macomb Co. He was later treasurer of the township. Prior to entering public life Mr. Wiegand was an architect by profession.

Mr. Wiegand is survived by his widow, Cyrilla (Kiesgen) and eight children, all residents of this area; Frank Jr., Jerome, Charles, Edwin, Mrs. John Virginia) Campbell; Mrs. Charles (Bernice) Busch, Ruth & Arline (Arlene)
