Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1972:
" Mrs. Helen Kloeppel, 59, of near Westphalia, died Friday, October 6, (1972) as a result of an auto accident. She was born June 29, 1913 in Loose Creek, the daughter of Hubert and Sophia Kremer Nilges. She was married October 21, 1936 in Loose Creek to George Kloeppel, who survives. Mrs. Kloeppel was a member of St. Ann's Sodality and the Western Catholic Union of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia.
Other survivors include her mother, Mrs. Sophia Nilges, Loose Creek; five sons, Norman Kloeppel, Westphalia; Anthony Kloeppel, Wardsville; James Kloeppel, Michael Kloeppel and Charles Kloeppel, all of the home.
Three brothers, Gustave Nilges, Westphalia, Adolph Nilges, Jefferson City; Henry Nilges, Loose Creek and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday at St. Joseph Church, Westphalia with Rev. John Degnan officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery with Dulle Funeral Home of Westphalia in charge of arrangements."
