Thomas is the son of Robert Whitney and Elizabeth Gwillims/Williams, who are also buried at St. Margaret's and noted in church records "of Lambeth Marsh". (Surrey end of Westminster) just as father Thomas was.

Note that England didn't switch over to the Gregorian calendar until 1752, so the birth & death dates above were expressed in the Julian Calendar.

There is a plaque in the back of St. Margaret's church (see picture to the right) which indicates the availability of a list of headstones and locations that were readable in 1880. The archivist of Westminster Abbey has stated that there are no Whitney (or any other) headstones in the churchyard of St. Margaret's (as the old graves were grassed over). The entirety of St. Margaret's records are all microfilmed in the Westminster Archives Centre

Birth not found, but burial date is proven in Memorials of St. Margaret's Church Westminister (page 580).
