"Jules C. Pease, aged 77, died Monday, August 29 in the Fox Hospital, Oneonta, after a short illness. funeral services were held Thursday, September 1 at 2 p. m. in Zion Episcopal Church, Morris, with the Rev. Carl Truesdale officiating. Burial was in Hillington Cemetery, Morris. Mr. Pease was born September 18, 1883 at Chesuncook, Maine, son of Jules and Elmere Pease. He married Harriett Smith of Morris in 1952. He was a machinist and toolmaker by trade for 54 years. He came to Morris in 1925 to work for the Linn Manufacturing Co ... Surviving besides his wife, are one son, Nathan Pease; a granddaughter and great granddaughter, all of Dexter, Maine; seven brothers, Henry, John Octava, all Maine; Edward, New Hampshire and Fred of East Berne; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Quirion of Jackman, Maine and Mrs. Everett Sherman, Morris; and many nieces and nephews."
