SCOBEY – Funeral services for Marine Lance Cpl. Darryl R. Juel, 20, of Scobey, killed in action in Vietnam July 2, will be in St. Philip's Catholic Church.
He was born in Seattle, Wash., Nov. 9, 1946, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Juel and came to Scobey as a small child.
He graduated from Scobey High School in 1964 and enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps in 1966. The young Marine had been in Vietnam since March with Company B, 1st Battalion, 3rd marine Division.
Survivors include the parents; four brothers, Don, Paul, Gordon and Grant, all at home, three sisters, Dorothea, Cecila and Theresa, all at home; the paternal grandfather, Dick Juel, Scobey and the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Anna Parent, Flaxville.
