"San" was born the daughter of Joseph & Pauline Wermerskirchen Koob. She married Howard Ottilie Feb. 3, 1951, in Iona. He died in 1987.

She grew up in Iona and graduated from St. Columba High School. She then attended Mankato State Teachers College and taught country school. She later moved to Mansfield, Ohio, and worked as a sales representative. In 1944 she returned to Lake Wilson and was the office manager of Koob's Store. After marriage they lived in Lake Wilson where they operated the Wilson Nursery. She worked at the Slayton Veterinary Office from 1957 until she retired. She then served as City Clerk of Lake Wilson for several years. She became a resident of the Slayton Manor in November. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Lake Wilson and was active in both the Catholic Daughters of America and the Winona Council of Catholic Women. San passed away at the Slayton Manor.

San's siblings include Aloy Koob, H.J. (Loretta) Koob, Cyril (Olivia) Koob, Joseph (Ellen) Koob, Quirinus (Evelyn) Koob, Ionilla Koob, Bernetta Koob, & Nita Thompson.

Funeral service will be held from St. Mary's Church, Lake Wilson, Rev. Matthew Vanissery officiating.
