Edith Mitchell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Mitchell,died of consumption at her home in Westmoreland, December18, 1898. Funeral services were held at the Westmoreland M.E.church, and were conducted by Rev. J.F. Dennis. Interment was made in the Jenkins cemetery beside two sisters of the deceased, Mary and Clara. Edith was a successful school teacher and was an active worker in the Epworth league and Sunday school.
