Henry Slocumn Heath was born Aug 1847 in New Holland, Lancaster Co., PA. He was s/o James Monroe Heath and Sophia Reynolds. He married Annette "Annie" N. DeVeaux in 1871.

He served as a Super Intendant for West Reading Market House and was a Carpenter by trade. He was member of The Veterans Firemen's Association, Volunteer Firemen's relief association, State Fireman's Association, and Manager of the Grand Opra house for 15 Years. Camp 212, POS of A. As well as Nathan Hale Commandary No. 75 of which he was treasurer for 8 years. Beneficial Uniform Rank of The Schuykill Fire Co. and Treasurer of theFire Company for 12 years. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

He died 19 Jan 1917 in Reading, Berks Co., PA. He was buried in Jan 1917 in Charles Evans Cemetery in Reading, Berks Co., PA.
