OSAGE, IOWA - Mrs. Fred Sprung, 60, died Sunday at her home in Osage following a 10 year illness; suffered a stroke in April, 1947, and another one the last week, lapsing into a coma last Wednesday. Nee Dorothy Milbrandt, daughter of Herman and Bertha Mielitz Milbrandt, near Riceville, August 14, 1888. At the age of 10 moved with parents to Buffalo Center, where she was married September 7, 1910 to Fred Sprung.

The couple established a home near Riceville on the parental Sprung farm, where they resided until retirement to Osage in 1943.

She leaves her husband, six children, Kenneth F, Marshalltown; Robert L., Riceville; Russell E. and Frederick, Jr., Osage; Mrs. Ione Mayer, Osage; and Mrs. Thomas Large, Chicago; eight grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, August Milbrandt, Buffalo Center; Charles, Elmore, Minn.; Roy and Lawrence, McIntire; Mrs. J. J. Brown, Suner; Mrs. Roy Liebrand Buffalo Center; and Mrs. Leslie Button, Riceville.

Preceeding her were two brothers, Frank and George and one sister Mrs. Mary Newton.
