COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY - 03/29/1974
John M. Lee, 100, formerly of 1315 McHenry St., died at 1:10 p.m. Thursday at SS. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. He was a native of Maryland. Survivors include two sons, George J. and John L. Lee; four daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Flynn of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Mayme Hayden, Mrs. Bertha Sansbury, and Mrs. Myrtle Flesch, and 13 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, 1207 S. Shelby St., with burial in St. Michael Cemetery. The body will be at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 1201 E. Oak St., after 6 p.m. Friday.

Mr. Lee is resting at the Oak St. home of Arch L. Heady and Son, 1201 E. Oak St., where services will be conducted Mon., Apr. 1, at 9 a.m. and St. Vincent dePaul Church 9:30 a.m. Interment St. Michael Cemetery. Prayer services 8 p.m. Sat. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Fri.
