MAROLO, June, age 79, native of Hazleton, PA, and 50 year resident of Beavercreek, passed away at Hospice of Dayton on October 1, 2007 due to unexpected medical complications. She worked at Miami Valley Hospital, Grandview Hospital, and Kettering Memorial Hospital during her career as a registered nurse. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and nurturer of all God's small creatures. She was a long time member of Peace Lutheran Church. June was preceded in death by parents, William and Edith Sonn. She is survived by her husband and true love of 53 years, Sam; two daughters and their husband's, Janet and Tom Meder, Joan and Glenn Kratz; one son MSG Greg Marolo, US Army Special Forces and his wife Jennifer; 5 grandchildren, PFC Stephen Meder, US Army Infantry, Amy and Emily Meder, and Anthony and Alex Marolo. Visitation will be held Friday, October 5, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Tom Bernlohr officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (http//woundedwarriorproject.org).
