Mrs. Anna Marie Kratz Backert, 79, of 2427 Parksdale Ave., died Sunday at Mount Holly Nursing Home. She was a retired laundry department employee of old St. Jospeh Infirmary and a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Survivors include a son, Bud Backert; a daughter, Mrs. Jo Ann Hines; a brother, Henry Kratz Jr. of Milwaukee; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ascension Catholic, 4600 Lynnbrook Drive, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
