ROUNDHEAD WOMAN, 77, STRICKEN UNEXPECTEDLY AT HUNTSVILLE

Mrs. Alice Maude McGinnis, 77, widow of Festus M. McGinnis and former resident of the Roundhead community, died Thursday at 7:15 p.m. in the home of a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Thelma) Bailey in Huntsville. Mrs. McGinnis made her home with a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Howard McGinnis, R.F.D. 3, Kenton. Long ill of a heart condition they had taken her to Huntsville to consult with her physician there. Her death occurred before the doctor could be contacted.

She was born in Licking County, Nov 9, 1880, a daughter of Elias and Samantha Orr and had long resided in Hardin or Logan counties. Her husband preceded her in death in 1942.

Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Bailey; Mrs. Alfred (Helen) Patterson, R.F.D. 1, Belle Center; Mrs. Ivan (Golda) Kuaile, R.F.D. 2, Lima; and Mrs. Ralph (Pauline) Yoesting, R.F.D. 2, Elida; and three sons, Howard, with whom she resided; Stanley, Bellefontaine; and Earl, R.F.D. 2, this city. Others remaining are 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. George (Ople) Henzler of Toledo; and, Miss Luella Orr, Belle Center. Two brothers and a sister are dead.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Reed Funeral Home in Belle Center. Rev. Verlin Dearbaugh, pastor of the Roundhead Methodist church, will officiate and burial will be made in McDonald-Fairview cemetery in Hardin County.

Friends may call after noon Saturday at the funeral home.
