John G. Ochs, a native of Park, Kansas, came to Salina in 1946 after serving in the US Army during World War II in France, Germany and Alaska. He died April 27, 1970, at Asbury Hospital in Salina.
Mr. Ochs was catalog manager for the Lee Hardware Company. He was a member of St. Mary Queen of the Universe Roman Catholic Church, a 4th degree Knight of Columbus and a member of the Salina Elks lodge and the Printers Craftsmen club.
Survivors included the widow, Eleanor W.; two sons, Ron D. and David J.; a daughter, Angela Marie; 4 brothers, Pete, Steve, Leo and Bill; 4 sisters, Susie Zerr, Anna Mary Zerr, Esther Silk and Rosie Goetz; and a grandson.
