Robert F. Berghorn, 79, of Wabash died Sunday at Wabash Healthcare Center.

The Fort Wayne native was a World War II Army veteran and retired as a Grissom Air Base U.S. Civil Service employee in 1983, after 24 years.

Surviving are his wife, Marie; a daughter, Ellen Hickman of Wabash; sons, Charles R. of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., and Edward J. of Dayton, Ohio; and three grandchildren.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Grandstaff-Hentgen-Minor Funeral Home, Wabash. Calling is 2 to 8 p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash.
