AGED RESIDENT OF TOETERVILLE DIES
Toeterville: Funeral services for Carl Grube 84, will be held at 1:45 p.m. at St. Petri's church, with burial in the church cemetery. He died Sunday morning at his home after a long illness.

Mr. Grube was born in Germany and accompanied his parents to the United States at the age of 9 months. They settled in Wisconsin where they lived for 5 years, then moved to Freeborn county, Minnesota. they came this vicinity in 1889 where they since lived.

On September 28, 1893, he was married to Emma Toeter (from whose family name came the village of Toeterville) and they farmed with the exception of 12 years when Mr. Grube managed a hardware store in Toeterville. He retired in 1922.

Survivors include his wife; two sons; Henry of Waverly and August of Somerset, Wis.; 3 daughters, Mrs. L. H. Langrock, Cear Falls; Eleanor, at home, and Adelaide at Austin, Minn., 5 grandchildren; two brothers, Henning, Northwood, and Hugo of San Benito, Texas; and 3 sisters, Mrs. Fred Stoyke, Lakefield, Minn; Mrs. John Ehlke, St. Ansgar, and Miss Alvina of Mason City.
