Charles Henry Egner
Another of our long time residents of Branson passed away at his home on May 1st at 10:00 a.m. Charles Henry Egner, had been quite ill for the past three months and passed away at the age of eighty-one years. He was born on May 26,1866, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Egner.
Early in life he joined with the Baptist church and was ordained in its service for the past sixty years.
He is survived by his wife, Flora, two sons, Karl of Emporia, Kansas, Herbert of Tulsa, Oklahoma, a daughter, Jessie Bell Lunquist of Snelling, California and three step children whose homes are in the Branson community, Truman and Granville McNish and Mrs, Wura Waddell, also three other step-children who live out of the county.
Funeral services were held at Whelchel Funeral Home on Monday at 3:30 with the Rev. Chas Beech making the funeral address.
Burial was in the Ozark Memorial Park with the Whelchel Funeral Home in charge.
Pall bearers were: John Baker, Albert Compton, Earl Dickerson and John Shannahan.
