Mrs. Hargrove was born in Warren County, Ga., the daughter of the late David Leroy and Myrtis Tinsley Stone and was the beloved wife of the late William Cliff Hargrove Jr.
She was an instrumental member of her church, the Waynesboro community and in the State of Georgia. She was an active and lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Waynesboro, active in the mission work of the church, local missions and the furtherance of missions worldwide. Mrs. Hargrove was also an active member in the City of Waynesboro Historic Preservation Commission, the Edmund Burke Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Margaret Jones Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, First Families of Georgia and The Rev. Pierre Robert Chapter of the Colonial Dames of the Seventeenth Century.
Mrs. Hargrove is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, William Cliff III and Susan Hargrove, David L. and Linda Hargrove, Fred T. and Ellen Hargrove, Bill S. and Terri Hargrove, a daughter-in-law Dr. Kathryn Hargrove, a sister Betty (Ray) Trenter, a brother William T. Stone, 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was also predeceased not only by her parents and beloved husband, Cliff, but a son Henry B. Hargrove and two brothers David L. Stone and Paul Sinclair Stone.
