Native of Germany Dies in Hospital

Max E. Hein, 58, structural engineer for Kansas Gas & Electric, died Thursday morning at Wesley Hospital.

Born February 20, 1901, in Germany, he came at an early age to America and had been a structural engineer for KG&E for the past 30 years.

Mr. Hein was a member of the Albert Pike Lodge, the Wichita Consistory, the Midian Shrine and the Kansas Professional Engineering Society. He was a member of the Reformation Luthern Church.

Survivors, besides the wife, Ethtel, of the residence, 4671 Meadow Lane, include a father, Franz Hein, of Germany.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Gill Mortuary.

Saturday Funeral Set For KG&E Engineer

Funeral services for Max E. Hein, 58, of 4671 Meadowlane, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Gill Mortuary.

Mr. Hein, structural engineer for Kansas Gas & Electric Co., died Thursday at Wesley Hospital.
Burial will be in Wichita Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Glenn Banks, J. A. Elgaard, E. J. Karsten, O F. Fisher, Frank H. Ise and Preston Leslie.
