Jessie E. Walz, 86, of Aurora, passed away Friday, August 11, 2000 at Aurora Manor. She was born March 30, 1914 in Aurora, IL, daughter of William and Kathrine (Rausch) Bullock.
Jessie lived in the same residence her entire marriage of 62 years. She was the girl across the street to her husband, Samuel. They were married by Judge Galvin and lived apart for 3 months before their parents found out they were married. She loved to sew and to have her flower garden.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret (Floyd) Hornback of Aurora; grandchildren, Danny Hornback of Aurora, David (Claudia) Hornback of Streamwood, IL, Deanne (Tim) Cooper of Batavia, IL; sister, Elizabeth Townsend of Aurora, Gwendolyn Scull of Tampa, FL and several nieces and nephews.
Jessie was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Walz in 1996; her parents; three brothers, William, Frederick and Albert Bullock; a sister, Frances Rausch and a half-sister, Mary Banbury.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 14, 2000 at 11:30 a.m. at River Hills Memorial Park, Rte. 25, Batavia, with Fr. Jerome Leake officiating. Visitation will be at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Monday, August 14, 2000. Interment to follow after services.
