Gerald Martin Ploeger, age 56, Eland, town of Elderon, died Wednesday, October 9, 1996 at his home.

He was born June 10, 1940 in Wausau, the son of the late Gilbert and Cecelia (Verkuilen) Ploeger.

On June 13, 1964 Gerald was united in marriage to Diane Seefeldt in Wittenberg. She survives.

In addition to his wife, survivors include one daughter, Amy (Mike) Reynolds, Elderon; one son, Tim (Claudia) Ploeger, Eland; four grandchildren, Judd, Addie and Abe Ploeger and Casi Reynolds; one brother, Jim (Regina) Ploeger, Caledonia; three sisters, Marie Rzentkowski, Elderon, Irene (Bill) Wanta, Clintonville and Ann Cayo, Neenah.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald.

Funeral services were held October 12, 1996 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Wittenberg. The Rev. Claude Zabinski, OFM officiated. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
