Rogatia M. Sextro, 82, Topeka passed away March 31, 2010.
Rogatia was born December 20, 1927 in Kelly KS the daughter of Raymond and Theresa (Enneking) Korte. She graduated from Kelly High School in 1945. Rogatia married Kenneth Sextro on May 3, 1949. They were engaged in farming in Brown County until his death on July 5, 1976. After her husband passed away Rogatia went back to school, and became an LPN, she worked at the Holton Hospital.
She is survived by five daughters, Stella (Rick) Bassett, Topeka, Judy (Bob), Haselwood, Berryton, Wanda (Terry) Weldin, Burlington, Helen (Dan) Gruber, Morrill and Sarah (Dan) Etzel, Topeka; 20 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; three brothers, Adrian Korte, Marion Korte, Tom Korte; three sisters, Alberta Lierz, Virginia Lierz, Rosemary Phillips and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sun. from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2700 SE Virginia Ave., Topeka KS 66605. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. that evening at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Mon. at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Graveside services will be at St. Augustine Cemetery in Fidelity KS.
