Virginia T. (nee Zieren) Ziegler, age 92, of Highland, IL., died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL.
She was born June 24, 1916, in Carlyle, IL., the daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth (nee Hahn) Zieren.
On May 1, 1940, she married Robert W. "Red" Ziegler, Sr.; died 11/12/1978.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL;
Highland Country Club; former member of the Highland Women's Club; and former member of the St. Ann's Altar Society.
Born, raised and graduated from high school at Carlyle, IL. She attended secretarial school; after marriage moved to Highland in 1940. She was an avid golfer, Master Bridge player and enjoyed gardening. She and her husband operated jewelery stores in Highland, Hillsboro and Carlyle, until retiring 1973.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Highland, IL., with Fr. Aloysius Ndeaneafo, Parochial Vicar, St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, Illinois, officiating.
Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland, Ill.
