Mifflin G. Glenn, a longtime Marina resident, died Saturday in Marina after a sudden illness. He was 63. Born Nov. 1, 1921, in Baltimore, Md., Mr. Glenn was a 21-year veteran of the U.S. Army, heaving retired in 1961. During World War II, he served in Army parachute units in Africa and Europe, and was assigned as an intelligence agent in Germany and Austria during and after the Nuremburg War Crimes trials. He was awarded the Bronze Star with clusters, the regimental badge of the Third French Zouaves, the French Croix de Guerre with silver star and parachute wings with three battle stars. He lived in Marina for 23 years. Upon retiring from the Army he was employed as publisher's representative for the Army Times and later as a salesman for the Military Service Co. He is survived by his wife, Carrie E. of Marina; two sons, Richard G. of Pleasanton and John M. of Monterey; one brother, Richard N. of Manassas, Va.; and two grandchildren. Services were held Thursday at the Chapel of Seaside. Burial followed with military honors at the Monterey City Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to the Coronary Care Unit of Community Hospital.
