Mona Fern Dent McManus, age 88, of Seligman, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010, in New Hope Health and Rehabilitation, Rogers, Arkansas.

She was born January 19, 1922, at Gann Ridge in Benton County, Arkansas, the daughter of Silas and Bessie E. (Gann) Webb.

On December 15, 1937, she was united in marriage to Elmer Dent, who preceded her in death on April 14, 1988.

On July 11, 1995, she married [Ranial] R.B. "Buck" McManus, who also preceded her in death.

Others preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Carl Webb and Henry Silas Webb and three sisters, Lily Barker, Kathryn Wilson and Teddy Thompson.

Surviving relatives are one son, Ron Dent and his wife, Nell of Bentonville, Arkansas; one daughter, Kay Cole and her husband, Charles of Seligman, Missouri; three grandchildren, Angela Hayward, Shelly Crabtree and Jamie Lovitt and four great-grandchildren, Mahala and Kaylea Crabtree, Jazzi Lovitt and Noah Hayward.

Fern, as most people knew her, received her education at Sunnyside School in Barry County, Missouri. Most of her life was spent on a farm raising cattle and chickens.

She was a member of Corinth Church of Christ, Garfield, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, April 8, 2010, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Wayne Deffenbaugh will conduct the services.

Burial will be in Bayless Cemetery, Garfield, Arkansas.
