Mrs. Katherine Elizabeth Brehm, wife of J.G. Brehm, died Sunday evening in Southwestern Memorial hospital. She was 78 and had been ill for the past 16 months.
Born Dec 15, 1887 in Norka, Russia, she came to America with her parents in 1900, settling at Lincoln, NE. In 1908 she was married to John George Brehm in Lincoln and they lived there until 1915 when they came to Oklahoma. They settled on a farm southwest of Weatherford and a year later moved to a farm southeast of town.
She is survived by her husband of the home; seven daughters, Mrs. Audry (Marie) Amen and Mrs. Vernon (sophia) Payne both of Weatherford, Mrs. Mae Utley of Little Rock, Ark, Mrs. Earl (Elnora) Smith of Coyle, Mrs. Leslie (Irene) Harris of Hydro, Mrs. Marion (Alice) Heggen of Garden Grove, CA and Mrs. Gene (Clara) Laubach of Tulsa; three sons, Herbert Brehm of Weatherford, Phillip Brehm of Hiton and Nathan Brehm of Collinsville.
