Funeral services for Rudolph Peter Eckey, 72, of Winfield will be held Saturday, March 16, at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Winfield with Rev. Harold Hurt officiating. Internment will be in Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery. Rudolph Eckey, son of William and Mary Weise Eckey was born Dec. 18, 1895 in Henry county. He died Tuesday, March 12, 15 Tarpon Springs, Fla. Mr. Eckey had lived in the Winfield-Mt. Union vicinity, where he farmed until 1944, then he moved to Mt. Pleasant, and about six years ago they returned to Winfield to make their home. On January 18, 1920 he was married to Nellie Kuhlman at Mt. Union. He was a member of Good Faith Lodge No. 2335 and O.E.S. No. 413, American Legion Post No. 643. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Wilhelmina) Terry of Waterville, Maine, and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Stevens of Mt. Union; seven grandchildren; one brother, Eddy Eckey of Cincinnati, Ohio.
His parents and two grandsons preceded him.
