Mrs. Katie Sinner of Lakewood, a former Sterling resident, died Sunday in Denver. She was 89. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday from the Good Shepard Lutheran Church, 770 S. Federal Blvd. Burial will be at Riverside cemetery. Graveside services and burial will be 3 p.m., Thursday The Rev. Earl Matson will officiate.
Mrs. Sinner was born Aug. 20, 1892, in Russia the daughter of George and Mary E. Weber Weideman. She married Alex B. Sinner in Sterling in 1915 and the couple farmed in the area. Mr. Sinner died in 1982 and Mrs. Sinner moved to Denver. She was a member of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Sinner is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Mary Quint of Riverton, Wyo., Mrs. Esther Wehmeyer of Denver, Mrs. Eleanor Beren of Arvada, Mrs. Eva Boone and Mrs. Neva Beavers, both of Littleton and Mrs. Betty Powe of Aurora; a son, George A. Sinner of Boulder; five sisters, Mrs. Molly Weigand of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Katherine Propp of Southard, Okia., Mrs. Pauline Smith of Okeene, Okla., Mrs. Mary Spreier of Gering, Neb., and Mrs. Lydia Mark of Scottsbluff, Neb.; 17 grand children and 25 great- grandchildren.
Moore-Howard Mortuary, Denver is in charge of ar rangements, assisted by Hettinger Funeral Home, Sterling.
