Robert E. "Bob" Risch, 71 years old of Wautoma, WI., passed away early Sunday morning, December 10, 2000 at the Juliette Manor, Berlin, WI.
    He was born August 31, 1929 in Antioch, IL., the son of the late Emil H., and Evah M. (Horton) Risch. He married JoAnn Barnstable Sands on April 29, 1972 at Mullburn, IL. As a teen he worked at an Antioch grocery store and then at the Antioch Lumber and Coal Company. After leaving Antioch High School, he started his career in Quality Control at Johns-Manville in Waukegan, IL., until he entered the U.S. Army in March of 1951. He served with the 7th Infantry Division during the Korean Conflict as an M.P. He later worked at Auto-lite while living in McHenry, IL. He also operated Bob's Mobile Gas Station in Antioch for several years. Before moving to Wautoma in 1974, he worked at Intermatic Inc., in Spring Grove, IL. for 11 years. After moving to Wautoma, he worked at Realist in Berlin, WI., and Evco Plastics in Oshkosh, WI. in quality control. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and playing golf. He also enjoyed feeding the birds and baking cookies for his grandchildren. He played baseball for the Antioch Boys Club and for the Denver Bears, a semi pro baseball team in Denver, Colorado.
    Survivors include his wife, JoAnn, six sons, David Anthony Risch of Venice, FL., Steven Alan (Kathy) Risch of Elburn, IL., Gary Robert (Ivy) Risch of Aurora, IL., twin sons, Richard Earl Risch and Robert Emil Risch II, both of Antioch, IL., and Dale Lynn Risch, Wautoma, WI.; numerous grandchildren; one great granddaughter; a step daughter, Claudette Sands of Wautoma; two step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Berneice Clark on Oct. 21, 2000.
    Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 15, 2000 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte 83) with the Rev. Paul Meltzer of the Millburn Congregational Church, Millburn, IL. officiating. Interment will be in the East Fox Lake Cemetery, Lake Villa, IL. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. Friday until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
