He was born on October 28, 1921, in Evansport, the son of William and Blanche (Hall)
Grube. On September 28, 1941, he married Evelyn Fackler, who died on February 18, 2008. He was a supervisor in pork line production at Dinner Bell Foods for 40 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Defiance.
Surviving are two sons, Larry (Geri) Grube of Defiance and Lonnie (Vicki) Grube of Battle Creek, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Michelle (Dan) Kastor, Kevin (Deanna) Grube, Mark (Kimberly) Grube, Steve Grube, Kyle (Ann) Grube, Scot Grube and Chad Grube; 18 great-grandchildren, Andrew Kastor, and Hillary, Madeline, Logan, Paige, Devon, Christian, Jacob, Mitchell, Mathias, Marcus, Max, Murray, Hayden, Carolyn, Brandon, Travis and Taylor Grube; and a sister, Betty Grube, Panama City, Fla.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Evelyn; his parents; an infant son, Robert Lynn Grube; and five brothers, Leonard, Loyal, Herbert, William and John Grube.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Defiance, with Rev. Dr. Mark Shimer officiating. Burial will be in Evansport Cemetery, Defiance County.
