July 21, 1923 - March 06, 2010
Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather

Foxborough-Alfred Kwiatkowski, age 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 6, 2010.

Alfred joins his father and mother, Wladyslaw and Aurelija Kwiatkowski, and brothers and sisters whom preceded him: Sophie, Stella, Jeanne, Vincent and Zennon. Alfred is survived by Beatrice (Quinn), his loving wife of nearly 67 years and by his six children; Barbara Defresne of Norton, Dorothy Bosworth of Foxborough, Donald Kwiatkowski of Nashville, TN, Sandra Ridge of Norton, Deborah Sulham of Foxborough and Judith Rayburg of North Attleboro. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grand child.

Alfred was born the youngest of 6 children in Hyde Park on July 21, 1923. He proudly served his country in the Construction Battalion of the United States Navy in the Philippines during WWII. He has been a resident of Foxborough for the past 53 years.

Alfred worked for many years for the New Haven Railroad and then worked as a Forman and Machinist for Bird and Sons in Norwood for over 35 years. He was an active current member of the Emanuel Baptist Church in Norfolk. He was an usher and a leader at his church who was famous for handing out red-hot balls and root beer barrels to the kids at the most inopportune times. He loved his faith, family, the sea and chocolate. His family wishes to express their gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Franklin Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin who went above and beyond.

"By now you've heard or have read in the newspaper that I am dead, by all appearances today it seems true - but don't you believe it for a single moment because today I am more alive than ever before!"
