Philip died on Nov. 5, 2000 at his home north of Ogilvie.
He was born May 26, 1927 in Tea, S.D. to Philip and Mary (Bocker) Mueller. He grew up and attended school in South Dakota. He married Elener Thomas on July 20, 1949 in Holland, Minn. The couple made their home near Tea, S.D. In Feb. of 1956, they moved to their present residence, a farm north of Ogilvie. He farmed beef and dairy cows, hauled milk, grain and cattle and was owner-operator of a bulldozer. He served as a state fire warden for over thirty years. He enjoyed working and meeting people.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Elener of Ogilvie; one son, Philip "Sonny" Mueller of Milaca; five daughters, Rose and husband Daniel Harris of Mora, Peggy and husband Daniel Mack of Mora, Phyllis and husband Alan Roseberry of Mankato, Debbie and husband Barry "Gomez" Hoffman of Ogilvie, and Donna and husband Paul Wagenius of Gaylord; grandchildren, Chad Kehn, Jonathan Hoffman, James Hoffman, Philip "Tyler" Mueller, Logan Wagenius, Jessica Hoffman and Maggie Mueller; five step-grandchildren, Rodney Harris, Kevin Harris, K.C. Sybrant, Andy Ziegler and Sarah Wagenius; one step-great-granddaughter, Catlyn Harris; one brother, Walter and wife Eunice Mueller of Tea, S.D.; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Mary Kehn; sister, Jean Oleson.
