CELEBRATED ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rieger of Bonner Springs Married 60 Years.
Last Saturday, June 30, Mr. and Mrs. Carl [Karl] Rieger of Bonner Springs Kan., celebrated their sixtieth marriage anniversary at their home.
Mr. Rieger will be 86 years old next October and Mrs. Rieger was 82 years old last May. They were born near Breslaw, Germany, sailing for this country and settling on the farm on which they now live in the year 1869.
There were born to them fifteen children of which number five are now living. John of Garber, Okla., Pete, Joe of Bonner Springs, Mrs. Bettie Oelschlaeger of Tonganoxie, and Mrs. Mattie Dempsey of Leavenworth Route 6. They have forty-three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren living.
Father McCall their parish priest offered mass at their residence at 10:30 o'clock '.hat day and after mass, an elaborate dinner was served, thirty-two children and grandchildren were present and all had a very pleasant time.
