Anna L. Hapke, age 91, Shawano, died Monday, February 9, 1980 at Shawano Community Hospital.

She was born February 24, 1889 in Staunton, IL, the daughter of the late Ferdinand Bartelme.

On May 14, 1908 Anna was united in marriage to Herman Hapke in the town of Almon. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1964.

Survivors include two sons, Henry, Shawano and Rudolph, Wittenberg; four daughters, Emma Schenk, Clintonville, Edna (William) Kolpack, Bowler, Anna (Orlando) Helgeson, Green Bay and Adele Fandrey, Shawano; one brother, Fred Bartelme, Skanee, MI; 20 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Anna was preceded in death by one son, Lorne, two brothers, Emil & Gustave, and two sisters, Amelia Bohm and Minnie Fuhrman.

Funeral services were held February 11, 1981 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Bowler. The Rev. Michael Ernst officiated. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery, town of Almon.
