Mrs. Mabel M. Lennon, 78, of Genesee St., widow of Floyd J. Lennon, died Thursday in Faxton Hospital. She was born in Clinton, daughter of William J. and Ella Battle
Martin. She moved to, Utica as a child and attended school here, graduating from the Utica School of Commerce. She was married in 1917 in Utica. Mr. Lennox died in 1952.

Mrs. Lennon was a life member of St. Francis de Sales Church and a member of its Altar-Rosary Society, the Catholic Women's Club, Christ Child Society, Legion of Mary, Ladies of the Catholic Charities and the Utica State Hospital Auxiliary. She served 14 years on the Board of Advisors for the State of New York, Department of Mental Hygiene at Utica State Hospital.

She leaves a daulghter, Mrs. Joseph T. (Eleanor) Hopkins, and a son, Deputy Chief William J. Lennon, of the Utica Firefighters.

The funeral will be at 8:30 Monday from the Doyle Funeral
Home and at 9 from St. Francis de Sales Church. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow and Sunday.
