Johann Junge was one of the six Founding Fathers of Saint John's Lutheran Church and Cemetery. He is buried in the oldest part of the cemetery (on the South side of the road).

Brother of Claus Junge, memorial #45589162, who is buried nearby.

Brother Claus's MO Death Certificate lists parents as Gerd Junge and Catherine Mueller.
However, Claus's 1889 biography in "The History of Benton County, Missouri" lists his parents as G.H. and Mary (Viebrock) Junge, who "spent their lives in Hanover, Germany".

Thanks to F-A-G volunteer, Richard LaBille, for parents dates:
Father: Gerd Hinrich Junge_ 1802-1881
